P&O Cruises announced their latest offering yesterday, so called “Getaway” prices on flights and small ship cruises to on selected selected Adonia Mediterranean excursions. These Fly Med Getaways apply to cruises of between 10 and 14 nights that depart from Oct. 29 thru January 2012, according to the company news.
Adonia, the smallest of the seven ships in the P&O flotilla, is designed for intimacy. With space for 710 passengers, Adonia’s cruises are primarily meant for adults. Eight bars, library, the Oasis Spa, classic dining room, as well as two specialty restaurants, round out one of P&O Cruises’ best offerings. P&O Cruises managing director, Carol Marlow, had this to add:
“Adonia is our latest ship and has been received exceptionally well. Celebrating her addition to our fleet, these Getaway fares enable even more people to try her. Adonia offers our only Mediterranean fly cruises and these are a fantastic holiday choice for those seeking winter sunshine and the chance to visit up to 13 different places in 14 days.”
By way of an example of a suggested cruise package, eligible for their Getaway prices, P&O Cruises gave the following as a recipe for vacation fun:
D114 3 -13 January 2012, seven nights. With ports of call, Trieste, Venice, Koper, Hvar (Croatian Island above), Bari, Katakolon, Nauplia, Istanbul, Mytilene, Ephesus (from Kusadasi), Rhodes, Santorini, and Athens (from Piraeus). A P&O Getaway price of from £1,452 is suggested. Based on two adults occupying an inside cabin, the voyage also includes return flights, all accommodation, main meals and entertainment. Bookings must occur prior to July 31, 2011, and must be paid in full at the time of booking in order to qualify.
Interestingly, Dame Shirley Basey (seen above at the ceremony) just renamed Adonia back in May (four previous names).
