Headed to Malta this month? Don’t miss the 10th annual Delicata Classic Wine Festival set to take place August 31 – Sept 2. Delicata, along with the Nadur local council, presents this wonderful gathering at the sleepy little Isle of Nadur on Gozo. The Ġnien il-Kunsill will be the scene of this year’s festivities.
Open 7.00pm to midnight, this year’s festival will host live entertainment to go along with the very best Gozitan and Maltese wines anywhere. Samplers of these scrumptious wines will only be asked to purchase a souvenir wine glass to keep. Best of all, and characteristic of Maltese hospitality, samplers can show their wine glasses and taste as many wines, as many times as they like. Be sure and let the organizers know you are coming via their Facebook group too.
Foods for the event will range from sucking pig to oriental dishes, even pasta and local dishes. To find out more about the festival, we suggest the reader visit the official website here, or the Visit Malta website via the fist link in this post. For over 100 years the Delicata family has been a fixture for Malta wine production. Don’t miss a taste of these fabulous Maltese products and hospitality.
