TUI Group and Dertour, acting on behalf of the German Travel Protection Fund (DRSF), have stepped in to provide comprehensive assistance to customers of FTI Touristik, the tour operator that recently declared insolvency, ensuring that affected customers can continue their holidays without disruptions.
Reports indicate that after FTI announced its bankruptcy, numerous reservations with the company were cancelled at Greek hotels.
The DRSF is now tasked with overseeing the insolvency process in close coordination with the affected organizer. This includes refunding the paid travel fees to impacted customers and organizing any necessary repatriation of travellers.
The German Travel Security Fund can be contacted anytime at +49 (0)30 78 95 47 70.
These organizations are extending their support to FTI travellers across 13 destinations, including popular spots like Greece, ensuring customers can continue their holidays without disruptions.
TUI will support FTI customers in Greece, the Balearic Islands, Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, while Dertour will assist travellers in Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Panama, and the Canary Islands.
Approximately 7,500 FTI customers enjoy their vacations at around 250 hotels in Greece, primarily in Crete and Rhodes, with 20 % in Corfu and Kos and 10 % in other Greek locations.
