Akrotiri, Window Into the Bronze Age, Reopens

Seven years after the roof of Santorini’s Akrotiri archaeological site fell, killing a British tourist, the Bronze Age wonder has reopened to the public. This prehistoric town, called by many the “Pompeii of the Aegean”, was for centuries buried beneath tons of volcanic ash. On Wednesday, visitors were once again allowed in to see one of the world’s lost wonders.

According to news from Belarus, the Minsk National Airport renovation will not be carried out by Chinese contractors as was the plan. Evidently costs differences between the Aviation Department and China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corporation (CPMIEC), could not be reconciled.

Croatia Boat Show 2012: Biggest Ever

Coming later this month, the 14th annual Croatia Boat Show will run from April 17th untol April 22nd in the Dalmatian city of Split. The event will actually be a combination of shows put on by the Croatia Boat Show (CBS), Nauticus Show and Split Auto Show over the five days. It promises to be the biggest nautical event ever in the region, comparable to the Adriatic Boat Show, with a vast array of nautical equipment and crafts on display.
