JetBlue Airways and LOT Polish Airlines have announced a new partnership that will allow fliers to book and connect flights via the companys’ home airports.
According to the news, the new agreements will offer passengers connections between JetBlue’s North American network and LOT’s European, Middle East, and Asian ones. Passengers will be able to book reservations on JetBlue and LOT with their travel agents or LOT’s website and call center.
Currently, LOT offers nonstop flights to New York from their hub airport in Warsaw. Customers can connect to over 45 destinations from their, across Europe and even the far East. JetBlue Airways will now connect with LOT via transatlantic flights to and from Buffalo, Raleigh/Durham, New York, Pittsburgh, and even with cities in Florida, among many others. Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and partnerships, had this to add:
“JetBlue and LOT Polish Airlines have a lot in common. The outstanding customer service and revitalized brands continue to surprise customers all over the world and will most definitely do so for LOT and JetBlue connecting customers as they expand their reach into Europe and the Americas.”
LOT Polish Airlines is one of Poland’s most recognized brands. Further evidence of the Polish carrier’s expansion came last month with their CEO’s announcement of operation of the new B-787 Dreamliners between Chicago and Warsaw. As for JetBlue, the airline was named one of the most passenger friendly in the American skies by the 2012 Airline Passenger Survey. The darling of the airline industry just opened their new headquarters in New Jersey.
