Tune Hotels widens reach across key Asian resort cities, holidaymakers and the business set, all set for Philippine fun and conferences.
Tune Hotels has just opened their all new Tune Hotel Ermita in Manila, Phillipines. Located in the center of the old Malate district, the 10 story budget hotel offers uncommon comfort and value with convenience to all the main city attractions. Opening in time for the upcoming FAME event coming March 14-17. For those watching movements in the industry, watching Tune is best done at 100 hz, the company is moving very fast.
This brand new Tune contingent in Manila is the latest in a long line of offerings by the brand, yet another hotel with a 5 star mindset for budget minded guests. As suggested by this article in 4Hoteliers, Tune’s approach to guest satisfaction is a bit skewed from most low priced offerings. Tune, for those who are unfamiliar, is part of the private investment group of Tan Sri Tony Fernandes (image right), founder and Group CEO of AirAsia.
The company has made no secret of their plans to launch 100 + hotels worldwide by 2015. At today’s launch, Tune Hotels’ CEO Mark Lankester also had this to offer:
“Our Bali hotels have proven that the Tune Hotels’ service model is immensely relevant across various segments of the travel market. The modern traveler, when visiting the great Asian resort locations, looks at a mix of urban locations as well as the more typical beachfront locations. We are able to offer a very strong proposition of world-class accommodation at highly reasonable rates to the visitors at these destinations. Another Tune Hotel is also slated for opening in Phuket this year, and it’s going to be really exciting for holidaymakers in the region.”
Given all the news about the hotel chain, and subsequent awards, 100 new hotels seems more like a certainty than a projection. As for the Ermita variant, the ten story affair offers Manila visitors a superb choice for inexpensive digs while in this part of the Philippines. And, it’s fortuitous that Tune’s latest opening happens just in time for one of Manila’s most important business events, Manila FAME. This trade fair brings together manilanow, CEBUNEXT and Bijoux Cebu, four of the country’s major sourcing events, to help the world embrace the Philippines as Asia’s design destination for lifestyle and furniture/furnishing products, gifts, fashion, and etc.
The hotel features include 167 rooms organized into 119 Double Rooms (inclusive of 2 wheelchair-friendly Double Rooms); and 48 Twin Rooms. Only 40 minutes from the airport, the hotel is located in one of Manila’s hopping nightlife districts. Guests can expect great dining, conference and 24 hour service and security to go along with their crisp and cool pillow. And for those intent on the FAME event over at SMX Convention Center, this new Tune Hotel is just 15 minutes (next door Manila time/traffic wise), as the Google Map below indicates.
The sleek design of rooms, and attention to service mindedness, add a nice compliment to no-nonsense economy accommodation here. You’ll have to negotiate for WiFi and some other commodities at the hotel, but taking great budget hospitality a la carte is not an altogether unpleasant affair handled correctly. You do get what you pay for with Tune.
A stone’s throw from Manila Bay, restaurants and nightclubs, visitors will also enjoy the convenience to the zoo, the botanical gardens, Hospital NG Maynila, and the largest mall in Philippines – Mall of Asia. So, budget, newness factor, and convenience wise, Tune has created another stellar little hotel to attract both business and entertainment focused travelers to Manila.
On another note, we have very often interjected a company’s so called “wiredness” into their value or progressiveness equation here on Argo, and on our various other news sites. For Tune, the company has to be one of the most engaged in SM we have seen. A simple Tweet, Facebook message, g+ add, or any engagement by us resulted in an almost immediate response. Put bluntly, the company hired or utilized someone very good to manage their accounts.
This says a lot about the company for us, because a commitment to this two way conversation on our social web, is an indicator of a much longer commitment in all ways. Call it symbolic, whatever, a company vested in communicating with guests, is a company determined to win.
If you will take a look at the screen shot below of my Facebook messages, you’ll see two things. First, I am in what I call “choopy-choppy mode” where 3 minutes is a dad gum lifetime. For your information, when a journalist gets ready to type out a story, the words flow – now. So, you can see my impatience, then you can see from Tune’s response, and the time stamps on the right, an apology for moments of radio silence. If that’s not “wired” I don’t know that is.
