The Rezidor Hotel Group today announced it has signed the Park Inn Novosibirsk, in Russia.
Developed in conjunction with one of the groups’ most important Russian partners, the Regional Hotel Chain, the 150-room, mid-market property is scheduled to open up to guests for the first time in 2014.
Located in the center of Novosibirsk, the hotel lies in immediate proximity to both a subway station and the main railroad terminal. Aside from its 150 guest rooms, Park Inn Novosibirsk is set to offer facilities including an all-day gourmet restaurant, a luxury spa and gym, lobby bar and five conference rooms.
The third largest city in Russia, Novosibirsk is one of the country’s most important transport hubs thanks to its location at the “Gateway to Siberia”, just east of the Ural Mountains. It’s also a growing travel destination, especially for business travelers.
The industrial capacity of the city is immense – with huge financial and banking sectors that are steadily on the rise, together with strong institutions for scientific research, development and education.
With international banks like the Raiffeisenbank, KMB Bank, BSGV-France and Commerzbank, Novosibirsk is also the financial capital in Siberia, while its growing technology sector has seen it labeled as the “Silicon Forest”, Russia’s center of technological development.
With stunning attractions like the Transfiguration Cathedral and the breathtaking outdoors of Siberia, the city of Novosibirsk also has much to offer the traveler, and is envisaged to become one of the country’s more exotic travel destinations as it opens up to tourism.
“We are delighted to establish ourselves in the city,” announced Kurt Ritter, Rezidor’s CEO. “This is just one more step on the road to our commitment to open up Park Inn hotels all across Russia,” he added.
“Despite the growing demand, Novosibirsk is so far lacking in international-brand, major hotels, just like many other cities across the country. We have embrace this fantastic opportunity and now eagerly anticipate the opening of the city’s premier business hotel – the Park Inn Novosibirsk will surely become that.”
