Barbados are already known as the official ambassadors of how to live life, and with pop-star Rihanna promoting their tourism industry, things can only get better on the island. The partnership was officially announced June 15, and will begin with the “Loud” Concert in Bridgetown, Barbados on August 5, 2011.

“Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people,” said Rihanna. “I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians.”
Considered a source of national pride for the island country, Rihanna will promote Barbados as a tourist destination through advertising campaigns, promotional appearances and via her own social media presence. Not such a difficult job, we may add. Barbados is already known as a premier travel destination. The island, famous as the birthplace of rum, is also a top destination when it comes to gourmet cuisine, being the first Zagat-rated Caribbean island with numerous internationally renowned chefs.
Its culture, history, and national beauty are as many attributes that recommend a visit. Barbados’ Crane Beach in St. Philip stands as a premier destination for travelers, while the country’s luxury golf resorts attract some of the world’s finest golfers who come here to practice and relax.
