Russian online hotel reservations service Oktogo.ru has announced the most popular CIS cities for Russian travelers for May holidays. The top cities, Minsk, Tashkent, Almaty, Baku, Kiev, Yerevan, Kishinev, Astana, Bishkek and Lvov beat out Georgia’s Tbilisi.

Operational Service Manager of Travel.ru, Olga Favorizova elaborated about the trip metrics:
“The number of trips performed by Russian citizens to CIS countries on May holidays has increased by one third versus last year. Early in May Russian tourists travel to CIS cities for three days on the average and pay for hotel accommodation about 3,900 rubles per day.”
According to Oktogo.ru, the top 7 CIS countries most visited by Russian tourists for the May holidays were; Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova.
