Croatia Airlines Strike Partially Over: Planes Almost Aloft
On Tuesday Croatia Airlines management and the CA pilots’ union mutually agreed on a collective agreement dispute we previously reported on. While pilots may now go back to flying, the airline authorities and flight attendants still are at odds over their issues. The bottom line is, Croatia Airlines has fliers now, but no support on board for passengers, planes will probably remain grounded.

Despite assertions partner carriers would take up their slack in the even of a general strike, Croatia Airlines cancelled 22 flights on account of aircrew and pilots walking out. Today is the second day of a strike versus the airline over layoffs and pay cuts strikers say they cannot overcome.

The Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) is seeking design of a strategic marketing plan for Croatian Tourism for 2014-2020. The board has just tendered a deadline for submissions of bids of May 29th. The project, expected to be valued at just over €500,000 euro.
