On the mobile booking scene, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) announced recently a pilot program for booking hotels via their award winning travel app, CWT To GoTM. The company#s research has shown that more than half of all travelers, and some 65% of travel managers consider mobile booking crucial.
Users of CWT To Go will now be able to search, book, and even cancel rooms using CWT’s latest innovation. CWT’s Traveler Services teams are now able to offer enhanced support because of the latest version of the tool. Booking a hotel via the app is simple, as the service is direct connected to all necessary user info via CWT Portrait, CWT’s centralized, global profile management tool. CWT plans the full version of the tool for releases by the end of this year. David Moran, executive vice president, Global Marketing & Enterprise Strategy, CWT had this to say:
“Hotel booking for CWT To Go users is a significant addition to creating a seamless and supportive app. Travelers and travel managers alike have told us mobile booking is important to them, and this is a key step in our mission to become the managed travel app of choice.”
The new features of the tool, allow CWT users to streamline the travel experience. Travelers no longer need to carry their travel loyalty cards, as this information is readily available with the app. Uses can scan their credit card, instead of manually inputting the card data. This and other new features come via direct requests from CWT users.
