In a move that’s sure to tempt travelers who appreciate everything being handed to them on a plate, Travelocity has become the first OTA to offer free concierge services to its customers.
Travelocity says that the concierge service is primarily aimed at vacationers, and will be available to any traveler that books one of its “dynamic flight + hotel vacation” packages. The main idea is simply to enhance traveler’s experience by affording them more convenience during their trip, says Travelocity’s Simon Bramly.
“This new benefit for Travelocity customers enhances the value of our vacation package offering and could come in handy on any trip,” explains Bramly. “Our customers already save hundreds of dollars on average when booking any flight and any hotel together.”
The company believes that it is the first OTA to offer free concierge services to its customers, who already benefit from the flexibility of being able to customize their flight and hotel choices.
Travelocity has devised a simple method for customers to take advantage of its new offer. Upon completing their holiday booking, customers will be provided with a special phone number that they can call any time during, before or after their trip.
The concierge services are pretty comprehensive too, covering everything from shuttle services between the traveler’s hotel, airport and other attractions, plus booking assistance for events and nights out at the theater, concerts and so on. The service also includes restaurant referrals and bookings, ATM and bank locator, driving directions, weather forecasts, lost baggage search, translation assistance and more.
