The Ministry of Tourism has successfully concluded the selection of beneficiaries for the “Tourism for All 2025” initiative. This ambitious program, implemented by the Information Society SA in collaboration with multiple ministries, received overwhelming interest, as over 742,000 applications were submitted through the vouchers.gov.gr platform. The official lottery results have now been released.
Key Program Goals and Focus
The program emphasizes year-round travel and domestic tourism and stresses support for fewer visited places, like mountainous regions. A basic goal is to equitably disperse visitor flow all year while making accessibility for disadvantaged people a top priority.
Higher subsidy amounts given to recipients using their travel cards at less popular times help to promote off-peak travel further.
Beneficiaries will get a virtual debit card, depending on their selected credit institution. Acting much like a standard debit card without needless bureaucracy, this digital card lets users easily book hotels of their choice. Recipients get SMS, email, and application platform notifications on the specifics and outcomes of the program.
Notable Statistics and Financial Breakdown
Out of the 742,000 applicants, 64,974 individuals were randomly selected:
- 10,195 (15.7%) belong to vulnerable groups
- 2,315 (3.6%) are individuals with disabilities
The funding allocation is categorized by travel periods:
- 26,463 beneficiaries for low season (up to April 30, 2025, and October 1-December 31, 2025) with funding of €8,598,600
- 38,511 beneficiaries for high season (May 1-September 30, 2025) with funding of €8,614,300
Additionally, unused funds from the second cycle of the 2024 program, totaling approximately €7.5 million, will be issued as virtual travel cards to non-selected applicants from both lotteries.
The Tourism Minister highlighted the program’s commitment to social equity, stating that the initiative ensures “inclusive tourism opportunities for everyone, strengthening our nation’s lesser-known destinations while easing financial barriers for vulnerable groups.”
Beneficiaries can find the official lottery results, along with provisional and final lists for both travel periods, on the Ministry of Tourism’s website and the program platform. For more information, visit the official announcement here.
With its broad scope and social focus, “Tourism for All 2025” continues to make travel possible for a diverse range of individuals, revitalizing domestic tourism across Greece.
