In hospitality people moves, Accor has named Laurent Picheral as CEO Hotel Services Germany, Poland and Central Europe. Effective July 1, Picheral becomes a member of the executive committee of the group. Steven Daines is also slated to take over those operations for Benelux and beyond.
Picheral, who graduated EDHEC Business School, cut his teeth as an auditor with KPMG, then Salustro Reydel, and since 1997 with Accor. He’s been Managing Director in charge of Finance, Tax, Legal Affairs and IT for Germany, as well as CEO of Poland since 2010.
Along with Picheral’s appointment, Accor also announced industry veteran Steven Daines being appointed CEO HotelServices United Kingdom, Ireland, Benelux, Switzerland and Russia. Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor had this to say about the pair:
“Steven and Laurent are highly respected professionals with perfect knowledge of the Group and great team spirit. They will pursue Accor’s sustained expansion in their respective regions and consolidate the leadership position Accor already holds in these markets.”
