European Travel Commission: First Quarter 2012 Out

The European Travel Commission has just released the latest trend analysis for the first quarter of 2012. According to the report, a degree of resiliency and even growing demand are revealed for certain sectors including rising trends in travel for Central and Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, Western Europe shows signs of of strain from ailing economies there. Russia, inbound China traffic, and some destinations are the clear superstars of Europe travel so far this year.

Reports that the Danube froze over, disrupting shipping and river traffic, reveal one of the most bitter Winter weather situations in modern history.
