Coming to Croatia April 19th and 2oth, the Zabreb Wine Gourmet Weekend 2013 promises more, more, and more international food and wine than ever.
Scheduled to be held at the Glyptotheque of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences and Centar Kaptol, this year’s wine fest is one of the region’s most important food and wine shows. Along with the commercial exhibition, this year ZWGW will feature a wider array of varied side events including masterclass workshops, film screenings and parties about town. The Gourmet Program this year will be led by Michelin Chef Silvia Baracchi of hotel restaurant Il Falconiere, Cortona, in Tuscany. Baracchi had this to say about her culinary philosophy:
“I like to offer my guests solar dishes, always based on the selection of the finest seasonal ingredients. These are dishes based on the Tuscan tradition, with a touch of innovation and creativity reflected through a new presentation, aroma and taste.”
Other chef presenters and speakers in attendance this year include; Ana Roš, chef Hiša Franko, Kobarid, Slovenia; Ana Grgić, chef Hotel Esplanade, Zagreb, Croatia; Tom Gretić, chef Hotel Monte Mulini, Rovinj, Croatia; Priska Thuring, chef Hotel Lone, Rovinj, Croatia; Marina Gaši, chef restaurant Marina, Novigrad (Istria), Croatia; Chris Blandy, Blandy’s Madeira, Portugal; and Sandro Boscaini, CEO Masi, Italy.
