All this month in Ostrava, the St. Wenceslas Music Festival is an annual sacred music festival that takes place in churches across the Moravian-Silesian region. September 1st thru 28th visitors to the region are treated to a unique international festival of concerts and events.
Attendees to this festival can expect performances from artists like tenor Becker Ulrike of Germany, Brunmayr-Tutz Linde of Austria, Krátký Vladimír, Krejča Jantheorba, Kuśmierski Robert (Poland), Lajtkep Tomáš, and many, many others. Just one example of the many performances is revealed last night at Stará Bělá – Church of St. John of Nepomuk. The Pavel Haas Quartet (above) takes to the stage, one of the great chamber ensembles of today.
For tickets to the remaining ensemble and solo performances readers can visit the event website here. Meanwhile, here is a sampling from the fest. As you can tell, these performances leave no room for disappointment.
