Aer Lingus (IATA: EI, ICAO: EIN) is responding to the rising desire for winter sunlight by broadening its European leisure travel options for 2024. As the airline intensifies its offerings, travellers from Ireland will have many options for their winter escapes.
The flight schedule to Athens will now include service until January, with flights operating twice a week. This provides visitors with a convenient escape most of the winter. The route to Faro in Portugal also becomes a year-long service, offering four weekly flights.
The Nice route is extended through to November’s end, with four weekly flights aiming to accommodate wintertime travellers. Bordeaux flights will increase to five times a week, adding more flexibility for passengers. Furthermore, flights to popular destinations like Izmir are available until December. In the Canary Islands, Lanzarote will welcome four more flights weekly, and Tenerife will see its service bolstered with two additional flights, totalling eight per week.
- Izmir, Turkey (ADB): Two flights per week until the end of December 2024.
- Alicante, Spain (ALC): Four flights per week through November, restarting in early March 2025.
- Athens, Greece (ATH): Two flights per week through December, restarting in March.
- Dubrovnik, Croatia (DBV): Two flights per week until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
- Nice, France (NCE): Four flights per week until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
- Palma de Mallorca, Spain (PMI): Three flights per week until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
Three New Winter Routes
From this autumn, Aer Lingus will also launch flights to three exciting new destinations. Travellers can look forward to thrice-weekly trips to Marrakesh starting October 26. Malta, from October 25, and Seville, also from October 25, will each be served three times weekly, broadening passenger options for memorable journeys.
