Prague invites visitors from all over the world to an impressive event, the Prague Quadrennial, a celebration of the arts that will feature everything from interactive exhibitions, to theater, music, lighting, sound, and fashion design – basically covering the finest in scenography.
Beginning June 16, 2011, for eleven days, Prague will turn into a stage for hundreds of arts exhibitions and interactive installations, including dozens of performances and discussions. The Czech capital is expecting over 40,000 visitors from all over the world to attend the event, alongside artists, performers, designers, and other professionals in the industry.
The heart of the Prague Quadrennial will be the traditional International Competitive Exhibition, featuring over 10,000 m² of exposition space full with the most exciting aspects of performance from over 60 countries and regions.
For those enjoying the performing arts, the center of the city will open a stage, where 30 acclaimed artists from across the globe will be performing. Even children can enjoy the festival, with the special PQ for Children, created for children between the ages of 6 and 15, who can take part in an adventurous journey all around the exhibitions in the Veletrzni Palace. Adults enjoy the PQ+, an accompanying artistic programme of the festival.
