Beerfest Asia 2011 is back with a bang this weekend – get ready to celebrate the third installment of everybody’s favorite thirst-quenching festival at the Marian Promenade, Singapore, from June 16-19.
Organized by Timbre Group and Sphere Exhibits, the four day festival promises to showcase in excess of 250 different types of beer from all over the world, with exhibitors arriving from famous beer-producing nations like Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Thailand and more.
Beer drinkers will have much to look forward to at this year’s Beerfest; with perennial favorites like the Trappist beers from Belgium, as well as dozens of bespoke Southeast Asian brews and Japanese craft beers to enjoy, a marathon drinking session awaits those who can keep up with the pace!
A number of new beers are eagerly anticipated for this year’s festival – including Budvar (Czech), Moosehead (Canada) and Leo Beer (Thailand), which visitors will be able to enjoy for super-low prices starting at just $3 a tankard – not bad!
As well as the beer tasting, one of the biggest attractions of this year’s Beerfest promises to be the live performances on stage. Headlining at the Beerfest this year will be top acts including the All Star Showstoppers, a tribute band well known for replicating everybody’s favorite Beatles, Rolling Stones and Blues Brothers’ Hits.
Other acts in the lineup include famous tribute bands “The U2 Show – Achtung Baby”, who performed last year, and “The Killer Queen” – ready to belt out those timeless hits from two of the best-selling musical acts of all time – U2 and Queen.
The Beerfest 2011 will also give trade visitors plenty of opportunity for networking and interaction, as hundreds of industry professionals are expect to attend the festival in order to promote their own beer brands. Furthermore, guests can look forward Asia Brewer’s Conference, which will be held on the 16th, and the Asia Beer Awards, which take place on the festival’s final day.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Mr Edward Chia, Director of Beerfest Asia 2011 explained:
