Greece is a steady preference for Brits, coming in third after Cyprus and Malta with over 20%
Brexit is not dissuading British tourists from visiting destinations in Europe. In fact, all indications are UK travelers are planning even more trips to continental Europe in 2020. And Greece is still one of the favored destinations according to research done by Morgan Stanley recently.
Findings from AlphaWise research for Morgan Stanley has revealed the intention of the Brits to travel abroad in 2020 is at the highest level of the past five years.
The report shows that within the next 12 months, 79% of Britons say they plan to travel abroad this year, compared to 73% in 2019 and 68% in 2018 – the lowest for the last five years. So, the British prefer Greece in higher numbers for their trips than before.
In other news, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and MasterCard have announced a new joint communication campaign to promote Greece as the ultimate travel destination to the markets of the United States and the United Kingdom.
