The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) presented the 8th National Forum of Tour Operators Greece’s year-round tourism options and alternative travel activities recently. According to officials in Warsaw, the Balkans nation is the first choice for Polish travelers.
The forum, organized by Polish travel magazine Wiadomości Turystyczne, was attended by senior executives of leading tourism enterprises including Grecos Holidays, Rainbow Tour and Itaka, not to mention key owners of sales website, journalists, and local authorities. The promotional video from Visit Greece below reflects what Polish vacationers are seeing about Greece’s touristic value.
According to the news from GNTO, the duration of arrivals from Poland to Greece has been extended, which creates new prospects and significant profit opportunities for Polish tour operators.
While Greece is the first choice of travel for Polish travelers, recent data also shows Polish vacationers favor Egypt and Turkey for the summer holidays. Interestingly, as of April 2019 the Polish Tour Operators Association (PZOT), released by North Events, showed bookings to Greece from Poland recorded a 24.5 percent drop, compared to the same month last year.
The GRECKA PANORAMA expo was the only exhibition in Poland promoting Greece to the Polish market, according to this report from GTP.
