Low cost airline Wizz Air now celebrates one year of successful flights to Belgrade, Serbia. Since dedicating their Airbus A320 to accomodate the Serb capital, the company has become the second biggest carrier operating from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
Lagging behind leading carrier, Jat Airways, Wizz Air has been operating from the Belgrade since late 2010. According to the company’s news, so far over 340,000 passengers have taken advantage of the company’s discounted fares. Wizz Air connects Belgrade with destinations across Europe including cities in: Germany, Italy, Sweden, the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.
In other news from the company, their 6th aircraft was added to the Budapest, Hungary base, and operations to Lviv airport, in Ukraine, have been continued after some runway construction there. Wizz Air, for those unfamiliar, is the largest low cast carrier in Ukraine and the whole of Eastern Europe.
