UNIWORLD Boutique River Cruise Collection has announced they will launch a new Super Ship, the SS Maria Theresa, set to cruise the Danube in the Spring of 2015.
According to the news, the new cruise vessel is named for the archduchess of Austria and queen of Hungary and Bohemia. The SS Maria Theresa is scheduled to set sail from Budapest on a voyage to Amstersdam, as part of Uniworld’s European Jewels tour. Guy Young, president of Uniworld, offered this comment:
“We are delighted to name our new 2015 Super Ship after such a great historical figure as Maria Theresa who had a wonderful and long legacy. In addition, Maria Theresa was the mother of Marie Antoinette, so in the spirit of our award-winning ship, SS Antoinette, we are confident the SS Maria Theresa will be equally as magnificent.”
Besides the 66 lavishly appointed staterooms and suites, Maria Theresa also features a main lounge with full-service bar, Bar du Leopard with full-service bar, a restaurant, terrace, sun deck with chess and shuffleboard, a heated swimming pool, well-equipped fitness center, the Serenity River Spa™, a boutique, guest laundry, elevator, 24-hour specialty coffee and tea bar, free Internet and Wi-Fi access, and cinema.
Also in the news, all couples who pay in full at the time of booking will save up to US$1,800 on SS Maria Theresa all-inclusive itineraries. Bookings must be made by June 30. For more details please read the original UNIWORLD press here.
