Major Infrastructure Upgrades
Fraport Greece isn’t just sitting back. Investments of up to €50 million annually are focused on upgrading facilities at all 14 regional airports. There’s also €146 million going straight into runway reconstruction to meet updated EU safety regulations from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Airport safety just got a serious boost.
But that’s not all. Another €200 million is earmarked for new projects at airports in Kos, Mykonos, Santorini, and Corfu. These popular destinations are seeing passenger numbers hit capacity, and the upgrades aim to fix that.
Fraport Greece’s relentless focus on growth and investment isn’t just about keeping lights on at the airports. It’s about making Greece a world-class destination that continues to draw in travellers year after year. The numbers don’t lie—passenger growth and infrastructure investment mean big things for Greek tourism and local communities.
