This weekend the city of Bydgoszcz in Poland marks their 667th birthday with events scheduled around town. From a rapper performance in town hall to parties and an opera, all of Bydgoszcz will turn out with guests in celebrating this wonderful ancient place’s heritage.
Bydgoszcz, for those unfamiliar, is an historic city in Northern Poland situated in between the Brda and Vistula rivers. This former fishing village, turned stronghold of the legendary Teutonic Knights, is today a thoroughly modern city of almost one million.
Among the many events scheduled for the next couple of days, the Polish Theatre will present a performance “Crazy Locomotive”. the third edition of the “Travellers” Festival will be in town, and the Gran Prix Speedway is scheduled to offer a wonderful treat for cycling fans, and there are many more exciting things to see and do planned.
