According to the published unaudited business results in the first quarter of 2016 Valamar Riviera d.d. reported consolidated revenues in the amount of HRK 86.5 million, which is an increase of 58.1 million HRK or 204% compared to the same period last year. The significant growth of revenues is a result of a high growth of sales revenues and financial revenues. This result is not an indication of predicted growth at the annual level since sales revenues in the first quarter have a low influence on annual sales revenues.

All Valamar destinations during the first quarter have reported a growth in overnight stays and accommodation revenues.  Overnights grew by 81% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year. Sales revenues in the first quarter reached 46 million HRK which is an increase of 29 million HRK in comparison to the same period last year. The most significant growth was recorded by hotels and resorts with 4* and 5* in Dubrovnik and Poreč as a result of attractive business conferences and events as well as earlier Easter holidays.

In the first three months Valamar recorded a strong increase in bookings including realized and announced overnight stays by the end of the year. The stronger booking pace is particularly pronounced in upscale hotels and resorts where Valamar has invested strongly during the past years with the goal of innovating and raising quality, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of facilities and services.
