The brand new gem of Montenegro ski resorts, the Kolašin 1600 in the southern part of the Bjelasica Mountain has its first snow of the 2018/2019 season.
With an area of some 27.19 hectares, the new resort base village consists of the central zone with hotels, apartments, reception and public facilities and all the usual ski suspects. Situated, as the name suggests, 1,600 meters above sea level, the 50 million euro project features 4.6 kilometers of ski slopes adjoining the Vuokatti Ski Center.
According to the developers, Kolašin 1600 will operate one 400 seat restaurant for this inaugural season, along with a planned ski school. The
1600 resort will supposedly operate a six-seat lift with a total capacity of 2,800 skiers per hour to deliver skiers from the base lodge to 2070 meters of altitude.
Situated only 9 kilometers from Kolasin, the 1450 and 1600 ski resorts will eventually have a total of 62.5 kilometers of ski trails.
