Ohi Day (also spelled Ochi Day or Oxi Day in Greek) commemorates each year the rejection by Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas (in power from August 4, 1936, until January 29, 1941) of the ultimatum made by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini on October 28, 1940.

Tuesday marked the 71st Anniversary of Macedonia’s National Liberation Struggle. In celebration an awards ceremony was held to recognize Macedonians in the fields of science, art, economics, and other key areas of public interest.
