Bulgaria’s Black Sea Resorts Sold Out for Summer

In a bit of great news for Bulgaria tourism, hotels on the Black Sea have reportedly closed bookings for the Summer holiday season. According to reports, the season is completely sold out for the 2016 season.

Bulgaria Expects Record Summer Bookings

At this month’s ITB Berlin, Bulgaria pulled out all the stops to publicize its Black Sea resorts. Hoping to cash in on the more recent geo-political shift that has diverted from Egypt and other destinations, officials of Bulgaria’s tourism ministries showed optimism at Europe’s biggest travel event.

Last month tourist to Bulgaria increase by some 5.0% compared with last year’s figures. Visitors from outside the country reported by Economy Minister Delya Robrev add credibility to the country’s optimism over overall 2012 numbers.

For many of our readers the Black Sea port of Varna may be more memorable as the place Dracula embarked from in the 1992 film version of Bram Stoker’s classic. While Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins did a nice job entertaining us, the reality of Varna, Bulgaria is far more entertaining. Argo Travel decided to take a look at one of Varna’s oldest and most famous seaside resorts, Riviera Holiday Club.
