Plateno Group, the Chinese hotel entity sporting 20 brands, has just announced it will once again host the hospitality industry’s newest fashion show, Plateno Collection 2017. Running from December 9th through the 11th in Guangzhou China, the event is the second iteration of a “one of” concept envisioned by the group’s founder and president, Alex Zheng.
According to news from the hotel group, Plateno Collection 2017 will feature unique international style, and added customer interaction compared with last year’s event. The company announcement tells of still more brands, and more influential online celebrities, and more KOLs(Key Opinion Leaders), and added channels of communication for this year’s event.
Zheng’s hotel group was only recently in the news for accepting a strategic investment from leading Chinese hotel group Jinjiang International, which put the new entity in the top hotel businesses in the world ranked as No. 5 Hotel Group. Zheng’s vision involves transforming the cliche hotel experience into more than simply a “stay”, into becoming more fashionable and experiential. Accordingly, Plateno Collection 2017 will help Plateno’s brands align with more industry peers and provide consumers a wonderful experience through the annual release of new products, services and designs. Last year Mr. Zheng told visitors to “Collection”:
“In the past, when we were talking about hotel experience, we would compare functions of each brand, such as facilities and services. While now, I think we should take emotional factors into account, including value proposition and tonality. When you come to a hotel, in addition to facilities and services, you would also consider whether you have good feelings towards it and whether you match each other in style and taste.”
