In cruise news, Crystal Cruises announced yesterday having unveiled a new collection of Crystal Getaways for 2013.

Crystal Cruises in Norway

Travelers can pick from 5 to 11 day packages aboard the luxurious Crystal Symphony departing for great destinations like; Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, Alaska and New England in the USA. Prices for these getaways begin at $1,365 per guest if booked by December 28.

Crystal spokedperson, SVP Jack Anderson, offered this amplification via press release:

“The ‘Crystal Getaways’ have proven to be a great way to welcome new Crystal cruisers to the luxury nuances, extraordinary service and value of the Crystal vacation. The new Crystal cruisers were either travelers with busy schedules who couldn’t take longer vacations, travelers who moved up to luxury to celebrate a meaningful occasion, or travelers who wanted to combine Getaways with their own land programs. What has been gratifying and consistent is the high level of rebooking from these new Crystal converts. We know that travelers who try a Crystal cruise are strongly inclined to come back for more.”

The sampling of 5 day options below shows some of the destination and pricing available.

  • January 29, $1,725 – Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Wellington
  • March 7, $2,365 – Singapore, Bangkok
  • April 24, $1,470 – Seward, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, Vancouver
  • May 23, $1,630 – New York City, Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor, Halifax

As indicated, there are also 6,7, 8, and 11 day options to choose from as well. For readers interested, Crystal Cruises can be contacted via the links above, or via their social media channels. Facebook – Twitter

Why We Embrace AI

At Argophilia, we believe in using every tool at our disposal to bring you the stories that matter. You may notice a certain precision in our data analysis, a specific flair in our visuals, or a rapid turnaround on complex topics. That is no accident—it is the result of our rampant use of artificial intelligence.

We use Gemini to help synthesize data, structure our reporting, and ensure our news remains as sharp as the reality we cover. When it comes to our imagery, we rely on the creative power of Midjourney and NightCafe, unless otherwise noted in our editorial credits.

We are not apologetic for this. In a fast-moving world, these tools allow us to focus on what really counts: investigating the issues, giving a voice to the marginalized, and maintaining the journalistic integrity you expect from us. We see AI not as a replacement for human judgment, but as an engine that amplifies our ability to inform, analyze, and tell the truth about our island and beyond.

We are writers and journalists first—but we are proud to be tech-enabled ones, too.
