Choice Hotels just announced being the first hotel chain to partner with TripAdvisor on that company’s new Instant Booking feature. TripAdvisor is currently testing Instant Booking, to empower travelers to complete hotel and other reservations using the TA mobile app and mobile website.
TripAdvisor Instant Booking offers mobile users a “Book on TripAdvisor” button, which Choice Hotels clients can now take advantage of. Users of the app simply select a room, input their information and credit card number, and book with Choice Hotels in one, flawless step. When the booking is completed, guests get a Choice Hotels confirmation number and email. The rest of the customer journey, including service after the booking, are carried out via Choice Hotels’ reservations etc. Robert McDowell, senior vice president, marketing and distribution of Choice Hotels, had this to say via the company’s news:
“Choice Hotels wants to ensure that we provide cutting edge, flexible and mobile options for guests as the way hotel reservations are made constantly evolves. We are extremely proud to be the first hotel company to partner with TripAdvisor on Instant Booking, making it easier for our customers to book hotel reservations.”
TripAdvisor Instant Booking is available only in the US, but TA says the service will be launched elsewhere later on this year.
