We love images, and especially those of places we love to visit most. To share a bit of photographic love of Crete, Greece with you, here’s a selection of images from Flickr users we love. Enjoy the Island famous for Filoxenia.
Thank you Enrico Donelli, all your images are so inspiring. Enrico is a shy Italian software engineer who is fantastically talented with a camera.
Thanks so much Theophilos Papadopoulos for your spellbinding photography of this marvelous island paradise.
Spyros Papaspyropoulos is known as the “Street Photographer” for his obvious passion of places we pass by. Thanks so much for this photographic art Spyros, from Rethymno.
Like many Flickr users, Castgen is something of an enigma, preferring not to link to or elaborate about the business he’s in. As you can tell from the image below, he’s enamored with photography and this beach on Crete too. Thanks for your art Castgen.
This next photo by Liene Fotoliene speaks of Minoan goddesses on the Island of Zorba. Thanks to this Stalis Crete photogrepher who reminds us of beauty in the eyes of beholders.
No pictorial of Crete would be complete without the work of my lifelong friend Jay Thomas. The image below is a section of an ultra high resolution B & W Jay took as we rounded a turn on a cliff at the extreme west of Crete in between Falasarna and Kissamos. The pristine wilds of this place are so extraordinary, I cannot even describe. Maybe the reader can capture what it’s like 1000 feet up where goats roam the road, and only mountain sheep and villagers live. Thanks Jay.
