The newly launched Russian low-cost Russian airline, has been forced to suspend its operations after the European Union (EU) sanctioned the airline over the Ukraine crisis.
Aeroflot has taken delivery of a new Boeing 777-300ER named in honor of Anton Chekhov, the famous Russian author. Configured in a three class arrangement, the new 777-300ER also includes increased leg room, an upgraded on-board menu, additional baggage room and more Aeroflot Bonus reward miles. So far this is Aeroflot’s 6th aircraft in the class.
According to reports from Crimea, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into effect travel promotional legislation including dropping the VAT tax on air travel starting June 1, 2014. Currently the VAT for air travel in Russia is 18%, according to the Voice of Russia.
