Sheremetyevo International Airport will take part in the campaign to promote Russia on the domestic and international markets according to news from the entity. Working in collaboration with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “The national marketing center Visit Russia”, the airport authority will undertake efforts to maximize the potential of the market of inbound and domestic tourism. The airport will become one of the strong points of project implementation Visit Russia, according to the report from the Directorate of public relations Sheremetyevo International airport, the press service of the FSUE “The national marketing center Visit Russia”.
In the news, the resources of Sheremetyevo Airport will be used to inform a wider audience of travelers from Russia and foreign citizens on the tourist routes of Russia. In turn, the airport is interested in increasing inbound tourist arrivals and increased passenger traffic on the airlines affiliated with the airport. The Deputy head of the Federal Tourism Agency, supervising the project Visit Russia, Sergey Korneev had this to say:
“Partnerships from the very beginning are the basis for the implementation of the marketing policy of Russia in the field of promotion of tourist potential. The expansion of the network of project participants increases the effectiveness of the steps being taken and increases the overall cumulative effect. Cooperation with Sheremetyevo airport, which is the main air gate of Russia, mutually strengthens our position by combining informational and material resources to conduct marketing campaigns. In addition, we directly demonstrated to travelers of infrastructure and quality of service from the moment of arrival on the territory of the Russian Federation, which is especially important on the eve of the Russia in the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and world Cup 2018.”
In the framework of the signed agreement, the airport will be equipped with visual materials, leaflets, and kiosks addressing tourist destinations in Russia. Also at Sheremetyevo Airport, new exhibitions geared for cultural and heritage sharing and information will be ramped up as well. At the moment in the art gallery in Terminal E, an exhibition “Russia from the height of bird flight”, based on the panoramic images of pristine nature in different regions of the country, taken from a helicopter is a template for other successful campaigns. The head of the Federal state unitary enterprise “The national marketing center for tourism Visit Russia” Yuliya Mohova offered this:
“Our partnership with Sheremetyevo airport now develops with a mutual desire to present tourist opportunities of Russia and to improve the infrastructure of service embodied in the agreement. We look forward to the joint organization of marketing events abroad, improve communication with airlines, information for foreign tourists about the not known routes of travel to Russia, carrying out of advertising of domestic tourism. Such cooperation will allow to fully imagine the possibilities of Russia on the eve of the world Cup 2018.”
Sheremetyevo Airport supported the project Visit Russia, in a similar fashion to other programs operating successfully in almost all countries. Examples of countries such as UK, Norway, Finland, Ireland and others provide a positive backdrop for Visit Russia going forward. Now the parties will jointly conduct the presentation of the Russian tourist potential at international exhibitions, road shows, in marketing campaigns.
