In travel technology news, a new boot-camp for online travel pros will be headed by one of the technology sector’s leading angel investors Morten Lund. Lund, the visionary behind some 50 or more high-tech startups, will kick off the first WITovation Entrepreneur Bootcamp. Best known for the phenomenal Skype digital revolution, Lund is also a key player in online travel technology.
The WITovation Entrepreneur Bootcamp will debut October 18th in Singapore. Travel and technology “campers” can obviously expect insight and direction from Lund, who also has a hand in Everbread Ltd. and Tradeshift Ltd., two travel tech platforms of note. This session of the boot-camp will also serve as a platform for emerging travel startups.
Five finalists of the WIT Start-Up Pitch competitions will be invited to attend, WIT obviously aimed at looking into the next generation of travel tech. The boot-camp will serve as a refining conduit for the submissions following on the 19th – for selection at the Web In Travel conference.
Top names throughout the industry will be on hand including; Morris Sim, CEO & Co-Founder of Circos Brand Karma, Martin Symes, CEO of Wego; Dhruv Shringi, Wu Hai, CEO of Orange Hotel Group in China, among many others who’s success was partially rooted in bootcamp. The public is welcome to attend the camp, registration is $180 dollars and can be completed at the WIT website.
The WIT conference, in partnership with the web’s most trusted travel authority Tnooz, is sponsored by Asia’s leading travel solutions firm Abacus, and supported by Web Innovation Asia and SGEntrepreneurs. This bootcamp, the WIT, and Lund’s participation will be key things to watch – especially where Asia travel is concerned. Stay tuned for upcoming news.
