The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) has a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for western Crete and other parts of Greece this morning. Weather over the entirety of Greece for Wednesday is generally overcast, but the storm warnings are as follows.
For the Ionian islands, Epirus, western central and the western
Peloponnese, severe thunderstorms are possible. From the morning hours of Wednesday, in central Macedonia, the eastern Peloponnese, Thessaly and the Sporades islands, severe thunderstorms a possible.
From early morning until the evening, Western Crete, and then gradually one Cyclades, Eastern Macedonia and the rest of Crete may experience heavy rain and thunderstorms. Later in the evening, the warnings are extended to Thrace and the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.
