Luxuriant, unique, and just downright fascinating, aren’t these ideas you would love to enjoy for end Summer 2012? Argo Travel News sought out three gems for your beach getaway to end all beach getaways. It’ll be Fall again in a bit, time to jet off to “the other Europe” East of the all too familiar. Turkey to the Austrian border lands and back to Montenegro, here are some five star spots you HAVE to visit.
Hillside Beach Club – Fethiye Muğla, Turkey
If a beautiful website means anything, and it usually does, then Hillside Beach Club should be where European travelers should head for the end of Summer. This lesser known Turkish hideaway has more lavishness than you can shake the proverbial stick at. The aerial view you see on the website betrays a resort located amid hidden wonders only the Trojans could have know. Okay, lots more well heeled visitors too, but you get the point.
Crazy Calm, the title of the image below from Hillside’s Facebook, should get you in the spirit of things over there in Turkey. But don’t be misled, water skiing to para-sailing and far beyond, this part of Turkey has anything and everything you can imagine to entertain you. As chance would have it Fethiye, in Muğla Province, sits on the ancient site of Telmessos.
Not many know, but Alexander the Great’s favorite seer was from here, Aristander foretold of many triumphs and calamities for the great conqueror. Today this great city foretells of opulent luxury and world class hospitality by the likes of fantastic Turkish cuisine, superlative hosts, and all the adventure or relaxation you can stand. A family of two adults and one child under 4 can stay a week, in a deluxe family room for just over €3800.
Hofgut
Okay Hofgut is not exactly in Eastern Europe, but it is in the far East of Germany. If something out of the ordinary is your idea of a perfect escape this Summer, the folks at Bad Birnbach’s most interesting hotel experience are waiting. Hofgut is if anything the epitome of their motto – Love, Rest and Relaxation – and as the dogma goes on to say, “you simply must see, feel, taste and experience this.” You read “Little Red Riding Hood” or your mum or dad read it to you. Imagine every morning, snug in your little luxury cabin, a breakfast basket arriving early on. The image below speaks to this idea.
Luxury, you see, is often in the eye of the beholder really. Who says exclusive is all about modernity, high rise opulence, Paris fashion, Capri and the Riviera? Country living in the lovely German outback can be even more unique. Throw in five star service and a hospitable attitude, gourmet eats, and you have a quiet experience akin to Shangri-La. Who knows, you may even get a tree house retreat treat. Enjoy Hofgut hospitality, maybe even take a cooking course year round, from €165 euro per day.
Forza Mare Hotel & Restaurant – Montenegro
If you see yourself somewhere in between James Bond Casino Royal exclusiveness and chic boutique hotel comfort a la Jason Borne (err you know what I mean) coolness, Forza Mare is as crisp as luxury gets. Montenegro is just down right breathtaking, and this super stylish mountain-spa-romance lair might be the perfect lover’s hangout too. Picture you and yours situated in the dining room.
Just as the hotel’s philosophy mirrors it, your idea of what “the best” is will likely be modified the instant you step into this hotel. The Kotor fixture on the water offers everything anyone could want and all inside a compact and cozy encampment. If you had to stay at one hotel, never to get a mint on your pillow again, laying your head down at Forza Mare would not be a losing selection. This place is wonderful, plain and simple. We encourage you to visit the website, look at the cuisine, the surroundings, then book your flight for Montenegro!
Hey honey, can we change our plans for Crete and head to Montenegro instead?
