Czech hospitality group CPI Hotels continues their growth by expanded further into the European market yesterday. The group’s acquisition of luxury hotel group Mamaison Hotels and Residences is a significant move. Mamaison, which has hotels in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Russia, is one of the most popular hotel brands in several major cities.
Under the new management contract, CPI Hotels will be operating hotels in Prague, Ostrava, Bratislava, Budapest, Warsaw, and Moscow. Jan Kratina (image above), CEO of CPI Hotels, had this to say about his company’s news:
“We are opening a new, very interesting chapter in our business. In the past years we focused on the intensive build-up of our hotel network in regional cities in the Czech Republic, but this is our first venture into foreign markets. The inclusion of Mamaison Hotels & Residences into the CPI Hotels portfolio is a significant step forward and strengthens our position on the market, in compliance with our long-term strategy of becoming the strongest player in terms of domestic as well as European market.”
Kratina went on to discuss the company’s current and future position within this market, adding that CPI Hotels now offers some 8800 beds and over 11,500 conference seats. The group now has a portfolio of 28 hotels representing accommodations across the medium and upper-class stay spectrum.
