Bulgaria Air has just taken delivery of the airline’s first Embraer 190. News from Sophia says three more are expected to arrive before June, and a total of five more are slated to be delivered by the end of 2015.
The Embraer 190’s will be used to service regular destinations of Bulgaria Air to include domestic flights which the company has already increased the frequency of, according to the news from Focus Information. Bulgaria Air has upped their weekly flight schedule to most of Europe, and has restored service to Prague in the Czech Republic.
The company expects their charter business to rise above 2011 figures by as much as 5 percent. The 108 seat, multi-class Embraer 190 aircraft fit the company’s billing as advocates of the highly efficient E-Jets. Hot off the assembly line of the Brazilian manufacturer, Bulgaria’s first Embraer 190 commercial jet landed at Sophia Airport on Saturday last. The airline, all Bulgaria, hopes the company expands even further its flights and its fleet of planes that now number 31.
