Aeroflot has struck a deal covering a further 100 Sukhoi Superjet regional airliners, scheduled to join its fleet in between 2019 and 2026.
Disclosing the agreement, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) says the jets will adhere to a two-class layout, with 12 seats in business class and 75 in economy. SCAC says the contract will be completed upon “
Slyusar states that as the launch customer and operator of the largest Superjet 100 fleet, Aeroflot “greatly” influenced the project, adding that the latest agreement is a “new page in this collaboration”.
The airline has 49 Superjets in service, and a 50th is to be delivered in the near future, notes SCAC.
Earlier this year, Aeroflot agreed to lease 50 MC-21-300s built by United Aircraft subsidiary Irkut.
