Travel Media Group Launches Edgy Marketing Tool

In travel technology news, Travel Media Group has just launched Travel Media Interactive, a so called next generation marketing and reputation management tool. A division of Dominion Enterprises, TMG is targeted at online marketing solutions for the travel industry.

The connectivity matrix - who really understands, and who does not?

According to the news, Travel Media Interactive will now offer a full suite of marketing solutions for hotels. Jose Baerga, Business Development Manager of Travel Media Interactive, had this to say about today’s announcement:

“We understand that for the independent hotel industry, it can be very difficult to effectively compete online in their property’s market. Through our customized and fully optimized hospitality websites and online reservation & inventory management system, we plan on leveling that playing field.”

From building custom websites for hotels, to hotel integration into the TMI network scheme, the company offers a comprehensive list of services designed to take hoteliers into the digital age. SEO, hosting, CMS creation, the list is formidable.  Building a website, in the age of cookie cutter simplicity, is child’s play these days. What is needed are experts who can package what I call “the real” elements for digital success. PR, marketing, brand evangelism through SM and other conduits, a complete solution is what the average hotel owner needs to even have a chance of competing online.

Past this, hospitality providers need optimization tools too. TMI also introduced what they call EstadiaTM, an online reservations management system – or a booking engine. Mark Novak, VP and General Manger of Travel Media Group, added this:

“There are other services out there that can build and even manage websites for hotels. What we want to do is offer hotels an option where they can get access to all of these services in one place while still making it affordable.”

The Company

We will be contacting Travel Media Group (more likely them contacting us) for a possible test evaluation of these technologies. On the face of this news, Dominion appears to have another winner in the works, although the TMG website is not cutting edge in itself, the weight of other Dominion brands ensures a high degree of success. At least this is true for what can be called “the median” service provider.

TMG professes social connectivity - next we see if they are really social

The company seems very “wired” where Twitter and Facebook are concerned, one indicator we use in validating corporate connectedness. They do however, broadcast a bit with their RoomSaver account. More on all this, once we are able to test some of their travel tools properly.

For those unfamiliar with Dominion or their affiliates, the Virginia company operates any number of cutting edge digital entities. Sites like; Boats.com, Roomsaver.com, Hotel  Coupons (mobile), Florida Travel Saver, Homes.com, and many, many more. Parenting to the famous “Trader” magazines, Dominion literally covers the spectrum on and offline.
