Three new hotels comprising nearly 500 places will open in Yalta in the South and in the village of Ordzhonikidze in the East of the Crimean Peninsula in 2017. According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic Sergey Strelbitsky, new properties in Ordzhonikidze along with a new Bristol Hotel, will further modernize the peninsula’s accommodation choices.
Strelbitskiy also called attention to the planned opening this summer of an Alushta spa with the hotel “Sea” and 108 rooms with the medical staff, meeting rooms and exhibition area of 500 square meters, as well as five buildings in the complex “Yalta-Intourist” of the 280 rooms (the area of Green Park).
News earlier this month that Accor Hotels would integrate the Mrya Resort & Spa in the Crimea into its lineup was a boost for that spectacular spa resort. And late last year officials announced bids from investors from investors to build further hotels on the southern coast of the Peninsula made up primarily of 3-star properties to accommodate families bent on economical vacations.
