Taking a holiday to Thailand is an experience you will remember forever, as this is a beautiful corner of the world that is ripe for exploring. If you are looking for the ultimate paradise getaway to the beach, there are three places you should consider.
Ko Phi Phi
The first are the Phi Phi Islands. Famously, these are the isles that inspired the author Alex Garland to write The Beach, while the later movie adaption by Danny Boyle was filmed on one of the group – Ko Phi Phi Leh.
As the title would suggest, this part of the country is renowned for its paradise beaches and azure waters and you will feel as though you have truly escaped to another world as you bask in the sun or enjoy the shade in the shadows cast by the striking rock formations.

These rocks have helped to create tiny coves and secluded stretches of sand where you can feel as though you are on a desert island.
There are some beautiful hotels dotted across the islands where you can enjoy a pampered break that will leave you feeling truly spoilt.
Phi Phi Don
Zeavola on the northern point of Phi Phi Don Island is one such establishment. At this boutique hotel you can expect to spend your days relaxing on the sand, before dining on the beach beneath the stars in the evening.
Stretching across ten acres of tropical land, the resort also has an excellent onsite spa and is known for serving up mouth-watering Thai cuisine.
You can reach Phi Phi Don Island by speedboat from Phuket, although you may also be tempted to spend time here as well.
The province is the largest island in Thailand so you can expect miles of sandy beaches to choose from for your holiday.
Amari Coral Beach
However, if you want to be sure of peace and quiet as you soak up the sun by the sea, you may wish to book into the Amari Coral Beach Resort at the south end of Patong Beach, which owns a secluded stretch so you don’t have to contend with the crowds.
As you lie on the white powder-soft sand, you will be able to admire uninterrupted views across the bay. Patong is one of the most popular beaches in Thailand, but if you do feel like a break from tanning, you will only have to walk a short distance to reach the nearby shops, restaurants and nightclubs.
Part of what makes holidays to Thailand so popular is that it feels as though you are escaping to another world, particularly in the areas that have been least touched by humans.
Khao Lak
If you are looking for a more rural retreat, you may wish to visit Khao Lak National Park in the Phang Nga province of the Thai mainland. This area is a little more laidback, free of crowds and undeveloped than nearby Phuket and is also a popular spot with scuba divers keen to admire the plentiful marine life beneath the waves.
The Khao Lak Merlin is surrounded by particularly tranquil beaches and it is bordered by acres of tropical forest that you can spend your time exploring when – and if – you want a break from the coast.
No matter what you decide to do, a trip to the country is memorable for all the right reasons, as the itinerary will be tailored to your personal specifications. Whichever hotels you choose, you can be sure of an unbeatable beach break that will provide you with a true taste of paradise.
