FRHI Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel management company for luxury hotel brand Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, has announced the development of seven new hotels in the MEAI. According to the news, the group unveiled their plans at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) as key for FRHI’s goal of doubling its regional footprint by 2020.
FRHI has 19 existing hotels in the MEAI region, so the developments in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and in Nigeria represent as substantial growth move for the chain. Michael Glennie, FRHI’s president & chief operating officer, offered this via their news:
“Our newly announced projects represent significant growth for FRHI and support our global expansion strategy of growing by 50 per cent over the next five years. Increasing the footprint of our leading hotel brands, as well as the continued expansion of our residential business across the MEAI region is critical to our success. Hotel group Raffles will open the first property in Istanbul on September 1 at cutting edge Zorlu Center overlooking the Bosphorus. Raffles Istanbul features 132 guestrooms and 49 suites in a blend of Turkish and contemporary architecture and design.
