Some months back, it was reported that Mirum Hellas, a venture of Israeli real estate investor Vitaly Borisov, would start the €500 million Elounda Hills project. The development will involve a total area of 950,000 square meters at Elounda in eastern Crete.
The initial release said the total buildable area would be 130,000-140,000 sq.m., or about 0.2% of the entire region. The project, as outlined by Borisov’s company, also includes as many as 600 residence units. The ultimate goal of the development is to create a totally unforgettable experience overlooking Elounda Bay, and the wider Mirabello Bay. Leading Real Estate Companies of the World said Elounda Hills will be one of the most prestigious destinations in the Mediterranean.
The investment’s first phase is to develop 550,000 sq.m. for a luxury hotel. Mirum Hellas’ luxurious resort hotel will have 152 rooms, 66 branded villas, 81 branded apartments, beach clubs, a marina, and more. A smaller boutique hotel adjacent to the fabulous marina is also planned.
Mirum Group has over two decades of experience developing and managing luxury, eco-centric properties that are highly successful and perennial award winners. The group has created some of the most coveted and exciting developments in Greece and Russia.
Other project highlights include the fact that the property is to be branded & operated by 1 Hotels & Homes – the first nature-driven lifestyle hospitality brand created by industry legend Barry Sternlicht. In addition, amenities like a botanical garden, private vineyards & olive oil production, many F&B choices, and a line of chic boutiques punctuate the value for Elounda Hill Resort guests and residents.
