Skiers and snowboarders from around the world have one more great reason to take their children on an unforgettable vacation in Romania’s popular winter resort, Buşteni. The brand new Fun Park, the largest ski and winter activities theme park in the country has just been launched, offering 14000 square meters to kids learning how to ski or taking one of the thrill rides: a huge tube, a carousel, a climbing wall, a slider and much more!
Not only is Fun Park a great place for children to take a baby-ski ride, learn how to ski or take their sleighs down the slopes, it’s also a year-round theme park! If you’ve already been on a ski trip and just want to offer your children an opportunity to have fun, you can plan a summer trip to Buşteni and the nearby mountain resorts.
The Regional Development and Tourism Ministry invested over 21 million lei (about 5 million Euros and 7 million US dollars) to build Buşteni’s Fun Park at the bottom of the Kalinderu slope and another 2 million Euros in mountain resort infrastructure improvements, in an attempt to make it easier for tourists from across the world to get to the Romanian skiing and snowboarding slopes in the Carpathians and the very famous resorts on the Prahova Valley.
The development of the Buşteni Fun Park is part of a larger program of the Romanian Ministry of Tourism called “Skiing in Romania”, a campaign designed to promote the country’s winter resorts.
