A Brazilian travel operator has just announced a rather novel concept ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup 2014 – it’s planning to open a resort especially geared towards fans of the beautiful game.
Body & Soul Adventure Sports said in a media release that construction is already underway at its new beach resort in the stunning colonial beach town of Paraty, which is conveniently located about halfway between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, which will host the final and the opening match.
Long known as the “Venice of South America” due to its large network of waterways and its beautiful European-style architecture, Paraty provides lovers of the ‘beautiful game’ with a safe and relaxing alternative venue for the duration of the World Cup – away from all of the hassle in Brazil’s biggest cities.
Fans can enjoy the luxury of a five star resort and beautiful surroundings in between matches – with transportation laid on to all 13 games taking place in Rio and Sao Paulo. In addition, the resort also plans to offer travel guides and translators for those guests that require them.
Michael Mitchell, founder of BSA Sports, said that he was sure the new resort would appeal to soccer fans looking for a hassle free World Cup trip:
“I came to Brazil over 18 years ago and never left because of soccer, now it`s time to offer the perfect World Cup 2014 Adventure after putting on adventures for over 12 years with Body & Soul Adventures,” said Mitchell.
“This is a once in a lifetime time experience combining the World Cup with our adventure, add in the Brazilian passion for the “beautiful game,” and you have the perfect safe and secure venue for the biggest sporting event in the world.”
