RevitUP Revenue Catalyst Shines at Athens 100% Hotel Show

RevitUP at the 100% Hotel Show in Athens

This past week in Athens, EyeWide Digital Hotel Marketing and Cyprus-based Plarino Hotel Management Services launched RevitUP at the 100% Hotel Show held November 15-18 at Athens’ MEC Paianias Exhibition Center.

EyeWide, a leading European hotel marketing firm, partnered with Cyprus based Plarino, in order to create a unique hotel revenue enhancement. The holistic hotel revenue service dubbed RevitUP deploys a complex of hotel marketing and sales strategies that are amplified with technology including a unique tool called Revelier, which has been underneath some of the recent successes of the two companies.

The wealth of marketing and sales expertise of these companies will now be leveraged and multiplied by the proprietary data tools created to simplify and enhance the triumvirate of marketing, revenue, and sales management tasks. When we learned of the launch, I called Minas Liapakis, the founder of EyeWide, to get his take on the future of this new service. Here is what Liapakis had to say:

“We were a bit reluctant to launch RevitUP at the 100% Hotel Show. Throughout the creation process, we’ve been very conservative, as we were worried we’d create unreasonable expectations. But the numbers don’t lie. The portfolio of clients using the service are thrilled with the results.”

As it turns out, Liapakis and his contemporaries at Plarino have already revved up revenue for 18 benchmark hotel clients. The EyeWide founder reeled off a few numbers Which showed the impressive track record of RevitUP. It turns out, the hotels are part of a portfolio of over 350, larger resorts for which the RevitUP was initially developed to service. The bottom line of generating more than €12 million euro for these clients proved out the system. These properties sport more than 2,700 rooms, and the servicing companies spend more than €400,000 annually for them in Google ads alone. Actually, I didn’t really need these figures to know they’re being presented well. We report all the time about

Liapakis also told us about the feedback he received from hoteliers at the Athens conference. What he seemed surprised by most was the fact that hoteliers at 100% Hotels actually recognized the value of the new service. EyeWide had positive feedback already from big-time resort owners on Crete, but those at the conference were also aware that no service like RevitUP existed in the matrix of companies showing at the conference.

In the past, hotel operations generally relied on one agency for expertise in marketing and a separate internal or external entity for sales management expertise. The collaboration between EyeWide and Plarino melds these two areas of expertise into one focused through the amplifying data lense of bespoke tools. The end service is akin to laser focusing on best-case revenue generation practice. One of the hotel owners Lefteris Vantarakis of Anemos Luxury Grand Resort, whose properties run RevitUp, had this to say about the service via the press release:

“What RevitUP brings to the industry is a holistic approach that no other company we’ve seen offers. This solves a big point of pain for us since we’ve already maxed out efficiency by conventional means. We’re excited to see the long term revenue gains from this service.

I did a cursory search for services that mirror what RevitUP engages with but could find only patches of technology capability at HotelTechReport, and a few marketing firms which deploy cutting edge tech for various aspects of marketing or sales, but not both. The point being, when a hotelier searches for a holistic solution for revenue enhancement, revenue management software is about all that pops into view.

The only company I could find in Greece that even comes close was Humble Digital, and they’re not hotel focused. Internationally, Xotels offers similar services in a quasi-holistic fashion with a much broader reach. Later on I’ll probably do a competitor analysis, but for now, it looks like RevitUP is the new sheriff in Greek hotel town.
